Anne Landis is a self-taught watercolor artist, living and working in Quakertown, PA. She uses only "transparent watercolors," saving the white of the paper to show through for the whites in her compositions. Having studied briefly with Priscilla Taylor Rosenberger and Lois Hofschild, Anne specializes in flowers which she finds and photographs locally and in her travels. She also paints landscapes, homes, and gardens. As well as watercolor, Anne enjoys drawing and sometimes working in pastel. Anne has always been inspired by unusual patterns of light, color, and shape and she strives to attain a flowing transparency in her work.
Chimayo Gallery is delighted to hold an Artist's Reception in honor of Anne and her beautiful work! Save the date: Friday evening, February 6th from 6-9pm. All are welcome!
